99% of the coffee on this planet is only traceable to the country it came from and, if you’re lucky, you may be able to trace it to a single-origin cooperative.
Champa, Soon Ton, Pheng, Meg & Gee…These are just a few of the Jhai Coffee Farmers Cooperative members who grew the Seven Seas coffee we feature from Laos.
Our mission is not to connect you to an origin, our mission is to connect you to the actual coffee farmers who picked, processed, and labored to make your day start on a positive note.
In order to do this, we have established key partnerships throughout the world who produce the most traceable, transparent and fairly traded specialty coffee on the planet. So you can rest assured that just by drinking 7SRC you’re making the world a better place.
For instance, with the JCFC in Laos, just by separating villages into family nano-lots and tracking payments with a simple receipt system from cherry-to-parchment-to-green-beans, members receive two payments a year instead of just one, which has both raised cup quality and farmer income by an average of 270%.
Okay, we realize that you may not have any clue what cherry-to-parchment-to-green-bean traceability actually means (we didn’t at first), but trust us... it is one of the most exciting and important developments in the world of coffee today and we couldn’t be more excited to bring these coffees to San Diego!
Our promise to you: we will do everything in our power to travel to the origins where we source our coffees from and will get deeply involved in the lives of the farmers to ensure the greatest positive impact. After all, without our farmers, we'd all be screwed.
